Catalyst Workshops

Catalyst workshops are designed to be that extra step you need to catapult your photography to the next level. Whether you are a beginner or veteran, you can not stop learning. This is even more true today in a marketplace that is constantly changing. Catalyst was designed with you in mind.

Catalyst Workshops consist of one and two day workshops that will cover all aspects of digital photography for all skill levels. Our one day workshops will cover one or two key ingredients such as lighting and posing or Photoshop and workflow. The two day Catalyst Workshops will entail a complete experience from lighting to sales and marketing. Whichever one you choose, you are guaranteed to leave with knowledge and experience that you can apply to your own photography.

Each workshop will include hands on learning so bring your camera, computer and notepad. Each student will be encouraged to work and experiment with different techniques to ensure tangible benefits. If your are feeling in a rut or maybe you don't know where to start or perhaps you just need to rekindle the passion inside you, then a Catalyst Workshop is for you.

"Understanding Light and its magic"

This one day workshop will focus primarly on lighting in the studio and on-location. Give your lighting that extra push and make your photography better with each exposure!

Topics will cover lighting styles for the studio and location. Understanding light and its qualities as well as understanding how to mange light in varying situations. We will have hands on demonstartions of lighting with off camera flash, using fill light outdoors, studio strobe set ups, proper metering and ambient light. This class is based upon a principle that light is light and if you understand what light can and can't do you will be able to walk into any situation and be in complete comtrol and not miss an exposure again.

Jump Start you Studio.
Catalyst is a two day hands-on workshop that will jump start your photography to a whole new level. This innagural event will focus on lighting, posing, Photoshop, workflow, sales and marketing. Spend two days with Cris and Dee learing all about what has made them one of the most sought after family and wedding photographers in the area. All While working along with you as they share their knowledge and experience in turn catapulting your business to the next level!
